To make a giclee from a painting you need:
1. Scan, 2. Proof, 3. Print and - optional - Coating.
All services can be ordered separately.

The scan is free in the Gold Class as it comes only with a package (scan only free with paid proof and paid print).
At the start you need to make a decision whether you want to have the scan as a file on disk or not.
If you do not need the file then the Gold Class fits your needs.
We keep the file in our records and you can reorder prints anytime.

If you want the scan as a file on disc to do your own prints
or to have a visual digital record of your work of art you have two options:
The Platinum Class gives you the file on disc at an excellent resolution of 240ppi. You pay a low price for the scan.
The professinal Class gives you the file on disc from 300ppi to 1,000 ppi (depending on size).
1. Scanning
All scan prices per one piece of original (up to 40" x 60").
Scans can be ordered as 1bit, 8 bit, 16 bit (b&w) or in 24 bit (color).
For 48 bit scans call.

This category can only be ordered with

Platinum Class, 240 ppi
Scan $50.00/$75.00

Scan of one original at 240 ppi up to 40"x60".
You buy the scan on disk for
$50.00 (2-D) or
$75.00 (3-D).

Professional Class. 300+ ppi
Excellence has it's price.

Scan of one original up to 40"x60".
You get the scan as a file on disk.
Scan from 300 to 1,000 ppi
depending on size (call or email).
Pricing per square inch.
$0.12 for 2-D (watercolor, maps, etc.) and $0.16 for 3-D.
Minimum order: $50.00/$75.00

2. Proofing

Standard Proofing: $50.00
Includes 3-point-color-correction and letter size print on final medium.

Extended proofing: $100.00
Includes 3-point-color-correction with add. proof of 4 segments of the original on letter size.
Proof comes in double letter size.

3. Printing

from our scans
per square inch on standard material that we have on stock
(Epson glossy and matte canvas, Epson Velvet and Ultrasmooth Watercolor paper).
We charge $0.12 when we print photos or from a file which is not ours.
Special materials come with different prices. Call.
For canvas prints we add 3" on each side (framers recommendation).

4. Coating

$2.00
per square foot = $0.014 per square inch.
Coating protects the print against mold and sun light.
We use environmentally friendly Ecoshield coating for our canvasses.

We scan transparencies (slides, negatives) with a special slide scanner in resolutions far beyond 1,000 ppi.

Samples

Let's say you got an original painting of 14"x19". You want a print of the same size on canvas.

Sample A (Gold Class):
Scan $0.00, we keep the file
Proofing: $50.00
Print: 14"x19" + 3" on each side wide border = 20x25=500 suqare inchesx$0.12 = $60.00
Total $100.00 + S&H

Sample B (Platinum Class):
Scan $50.00 (2-D) or $75.00 (3-D), you get the scan on disc!
Proofing: $50.00 standard
Print: 14"x19" + 3" border on each side = 20"x25"=500 square inches x $0.12 = $60.00
You can also order the scan only.

Sample C (Professional Class):
You order a professional scan at a minimum resolution of 300ppi.
The scan is yours and comes on a disc.
The price for the Professional Class is determined by square inches.
Your original is 30"x40". That makes 1,200 square inches.
The price for a scan is $0.12 or $0.16 per square inch.
2-D scan: 1,200 x $0.12 = $144.00.
3-D scan: 1,200 x $0.16 = $192.00
+ optional:
Proofing: $50.00
Printing: 30x40 + White Border 3" = 36"x46" = 1,656 square inches x $0.12 = $198.72.
Coating: 1656 square inches x $0.014 = $23.18.

• Modalities of payment:
With the order the client pays at least 50% of the final amount.
After the proof has been o.k.ed by the client (b.a.t.) the second part is due and the final print is sent out.

* Payment options: Cash, Check, Paypal.

• Shipping and Handling: We charge the invoice with a $5.00 amount of handling and the actual shipping costs.

• Taxes: For Hawaiian clients we add 0.5 percent to the total. For non-Hawaii residents no tax.

• We reserve the right to refuse to do business with anybody.
